Mo's Digital Challenge # 87 - Tags, tags & more tags

I found my inspiration again over at Mo's Digital Pencil challenge site with their challenge #87 - Tags, tags and more tags. Such a fun card to put together. I think I used all my favorites on this one -- tags cut out using my nesties, colored with Copic markers, a button and rhinestones. Most importantly this great image by Mo.
More soon!

Mo's Digital Pencil - Challenge #85

We are still alive here at PK, Filly & Joy. Like most people, it's been super wild times. With that, I have been in a total slump in regards to card making. As many of you say "I've lost my Mojo!!!!". I still have interest in shopping (lol) but its the making that has somehow gone by the wayside. Last week, I was going over some blogs that I haven't even visited in a while and I saw this challenge over at Mo's Digital Pencil. This one seemed to wake me up. I printed off this Mo image that I just love, and just let it happen. I totally love how this turned out and was running around this morning (when I was supposed to be getting ready for work) trying to finish this card up.

What I love about this image is that you can see how comfy and cozy that robe and slippers are - they just look fluffy, so I wanted to add accents that were just as soft and fluffy. As I was scrounging through my stash of flowers I just wasn't finding what I was looking for, but I saw this cornflower blue ribbon velvet that was the color that I was looking for. I grabbed some thread and gathered the edge and created that accent I wanted. It felt wonderful!!!! Finally felt that spark of creativity that I haven't felt in quite some time. Sure didn't want to come to work after that! lol.

This accent has the perfect amount of fluff and comfy, cozy that I was looking for. The little white flowers are something I purchased a long, long time ago - I couldn't even tell you who the manufacturer is. Image colored with my beloved Copic markers. Oval is cut with my trusted classic Nesties and the paper is embossed with one of my favorite embossing folders. I miss you, my old friends. I hope to spend much more time with you again soon!

Repeat Impressions Sketch F911

At card club this week, Karen announced that she just been selected for the design team for Repeat Impressions. Way to go Karen!!!! I have been in such a slump lately, I haven't even been getting cards made for club, but after seeing this weeks sketch challenge over at Repeat Impressions, I decided to give it a try. This is my entry - I colored this Whipper Snapper kiddo quite some time ago and just never found the right spot for him. After seeing this sketch, it all seemed to come together.

With the beautiful weather we are having today and finishing this card, I feel like I'm starting to come out of winter hybernation.

Maybe I'll skip my homework tonight and see if I'm inspired enough to make another card.

Have a great week! Way to go Pack

The Stockings Were Hung by the Chimney with Care

I am still alive and stamping - just haven't been posting much. I will try to do better - promise! Made these cute gift card holders after our friend Tammy showed us how to do them at our Stamp Club holiday party. Just lift the flap on the top of the stocking and write in a sentiment. The gift cards tuck right into the sock. Thanks for sharing this with us Tam!

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Breast cancer has touched the lives of PK, Filly and I each in different ways, but it is a topic that is important to each of us. Research and prevention is a must. For that reason we decided to make some paper crafts to sell, with all proceeds going to breast cancer research. I had so much fun working these projects. PK, Filly and I got together to work on them, bounce ideas off each other, and had a whole lot fun together. They are such fun ladies. I always leave with a stomach ache from all the laughing we do. The fact that we were making everything for such a good cause, made it all even more special.

These are the treats I took to my workplace and had for sale in the office breakroom. The 1st photo is the whole spread of merchandise. In the 2nd photo you can see some gift card holders. These are made using instructions from Kristina Werner on the 2 Peas web site. The last photo is of some purses I made using the Top Note Purse instructions over at Becky Roberts blog, Inking Idaho.

The response was wonderful!!! Everyone was soooo generous and the words of support for what we had done was so uplifting. Over $150 was raised for breast cancer research.

Thanks for all your help PK and Filly! Maybe PK will some photos from her sale?

Karen's Doodle's Challenge #25 - Polka Dots

I love the digital stamps over at Karen's Doodles and this week she had a challenge that was a lot of fun - using polka dots. This Karen's Doodles stamp of Bigsby Juggling worked perfect for me. Isn't he adorable? I colored him in with my copic markers, cut him out with my nesties and popped the red dots and the matted image. I didn't want to go overboard with the polka dots, but this Debbie Mumm paper worked perfect.

Have a super week! I hope to share more soon.

Hogs & Sketches #9

Wow, its been so long since I've posted I really had to stop and think our password. Sheesh, just too long.

Well, its been a fun and wild summer. I finally have a couple of months off before I go back to school. I have a to-do list a mile long, of things I want to get caught up before I go back.

On the top of my list, was to play along with the Hambo Stamps Hogs & Sketches Challenge # 9. I this month's sketch was great and I really love this butt cheeks baby stamp of theirs. Too sweet!

Over the summer I had gotten a pack of 8 X 8 DCWV baby boy paper that I have been wanting to use. It worked perfectly for this challenge. I wish you could see the sparkle on this patterned paper. I pulled out the copic markers to color my image and the sentiments is something I printed on the computer. The scalloped yellow behind the image and along the sentiment is some glitter paper from DCWV. Gotta have some sparkle and glitter to welcome a new baby!

I have some vacation from work in a few weeks so I'm really hoping to make a dent in that list of mine - both cleaning and playing.

I'll be back with more to share soon.
